EAM Terms and Conditions

If you are in town and would like to make an appointment outside of our normal hours please contact us and we'll do all that we can to accommodate you. SHIPPING CHARGES/ METHOD OF SHIPMENT EAM will ship via U.S. Priority mail exclusively unless otherwise specified by the customer. Our minimum shipping and handling charge is $9.00 international orders are assessed and extra $10.00 at EAM's discretion. Rush orders after hours and shipments requiring special handling shall be assessed on a per shipment basis. COD ORDERS We do not accept C.O.D. orders at this time. CREDIT CARD ORDERS EAM accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Pay Pal as payment on orders to anywhere in the world. When using your credit card please provide your credit card billing address if different from the shipping address and daytime / nighttime phone numbers. If the billing address does not match that which is on file at the financial institution or if authorization is not given for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel the order without notification. We cannot work out credit card problems with your financial institution; you must settle issues with them and re-order once the problem has been resolved. STORE CREDITS Any credits left on your account with us can be used toward a future order. Any credit not redeemed within a 90 day period will be assessed a service charge fee. Any outstanding balance dues can be applied to your next order. PERSONAL CHECK POLICY Personal checks from un-established customers will be held for 10 business days prior to shipment. To ensure that your order is shipped as quickly as possible, please send a money order, certified check or use your credit card. Business checks will be treated just like regular personal checks. Customers whose checks are returned to us because of non-sufficient funds will be charged $28.00 for handling in addition to the amount of the check. If it becomes necessary for us to use an attorney or collection agency, you will be responsible for all collection fees. OUT OF STOCK MERCHANDISE We backorder out-of-stock merchandise when we can unless you specify that you don't want an item backordered. Certain sale merchandise, products with uncertain availability, items priced under $20.00 and discontinued items may not be backordered. Backorders that are shipped to international addresses or via "Express" shipping methods will incur special shipping and handling charges with each shipment. You may cancel your backorders at any time. ADDRESSES WITH APO AND FPO When requesting orders to ship to an APO or FPO address, your package will ship priority mail or SAM (Space Available Mail). SAM is no additional charge and will ship your package from the APO or FPO address via the next available boat. INTERNATIONAL AND CANADIAN ORDERS EAM will ship to anywhere in the world that U.S. Express Mail either directly or through reciprocal agreements. Please send payment in the form of an International Money Order in U.S. Funds, or use your credit card or Pay Pal. Under no circumstances will we falsify invoices or shipping labels. Because of the extra effort involved in shipping international orders a $10.00 surcharge shall be added to international orders. Also all orders unless specified will be shipped via Express U.S. Mail, this is the only way we can insure and track orders to international destinations. Many airplane and sailplane kits, exceed box size restrictions, and special arrangements will be necessary. RETURNS THERE ARE NO RETURNS, WARRANTY OR EXCHANGES ON AIRSOFT GUNS PERIOD, NO EXCEPTIONS. We will accept R/C merchandise for return that was purchased from EAM within 5 days of receipt. The merchandise must be in new and unused condition and in its original packaging there are no exceptions. Kit boxes must be undamaged. If it doesn't look new it can't be sold as new. Mounting and running fuel through a model engine, installing radio parts in a model, cutting up balsa sheets in kits, installing software, writing on instructions or discarding the packing material are some examples of what constitutes used merchandise. ALL Returns shall be accepted for store credit only!! You must have an RMA number to return merchandise or it will be refused.. We are not in the business of shipping out merchandise for evaluation, Be familiar with the product that you are ordering. There are no returns on special orders. THERE IS A MINIMUM 15% RESTOCKING FEE OR A SURCHARGE WILL BE ESTABLISHED UPON THE RETURN OF MERCHANDISE FOR THE CONDITION OF THE MERCHANDISE IF IT IS NOT IN NEW CONDITION. Customer shall be responsible for outbound and inbound insurance and shipping charges . Returned merchandise must be insured RETURNS THAT ARE DEFECTIVE Due to the nature of electric R/C, exchange and or store credit will be issued at EAM's discretion. Just like at a car parts store, electronic parts are carefully tested by the manufacturer, since it is impossible to determine a cause of failure warranties for electronic parts must be handled directly by the manufacturer. Lithium Polymer Batteries: Once you receive your battery or battery pack, test it for low voltage condition before you charge or discharge the battery. There is absolutely no warranty for any Lithium Polymer battery or battery pack once you have placed it on a charger. Once you use or discharge a Lithium Polymer battery or battery pack there is no warranty. As used in R/C applications discharge rates exceed the manufacturer's specified maximum rates for these cells. Therefore, the use of Lithium Polymer batteries in radio-controlled models is to be considered experimental, and there is no warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to the capacity, life in cycles, storage, or discharge characteristics of cells in RC use, nor any other use nor aspect. We strongly suggest you use a safety guard component with these cells. Lithium Polymer batteries hold a huge amount of energy and must be respected. Since we cannot guarentee customers will follow the proper safety precautions and use an appropriate well functioning charger with the correct settings, we cannot accept any responsibility for the use of Lithium Polymer battery products. Therefore, Electric Aero Modeling Inc. assumes no responsibility for the use of Lithium Polymer battery products by our customers. Your use of this product means you accept our terms and you are fully responsible for any consequences.If the item you wish to return is inoperable, but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. The instructions on how to handle this type of return may be different from manufacturer to manufacturer, since most manufacturers insist on handling defects directly. Used, defective merchandise should be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement. Manufacturer defects found after the product has been used must revert to the manufacturers warranty (a copy of which can be obtained upon request) and they will handle any problems for you directly. If you can determine that a product is detective before using it, the manufacturer may be able to accept it back for exchange or refund; however, we suggest that you contact that manufacturer as soon as possible. RETURNS THAT ARE DAMAGED Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with obvious shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and find shipping damage, you must notify us within 12 hrs. of receipt of goods. Save all original packaging material and paperwork; do not throw anything away! If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you will jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return or a replacement. Claims for damage after the receipt of a package must be initiated from the receiving end. QUESTIONS OR CHANGES TO RECENTLY PLACED ORDERS If you have placed an order with EAM recently and need some information about it or would like to change it in some way, there are a number of ways you may contact us. Please note that since we begin processing your order upon receiving it, modifications are not always possible depending on how much time has already elapsed. If at all possible please handle inquiries via e-mail and include any confirmation or pertinent information. VERIFICATION OF ORDERS PLACED BY MINORS Un-established customers under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to verify any order placed by phone before an order will be processed. Also, due to our heavy phone traffic, phone representatives may limit the length of inquiry calls and e-mails. LIMITS OF RESPONSIBILITY We accept no responsibility for crash damage and/or loss of kits, engines, accessories, etc. incurred during operation of a radio-controlled model. In most cases it is impossible to determine whether crash damage was actually due to radio, equipment, battery, electronic component, etc. failure or to operator error. Also, we will not be held responsible for any purchased components that are incorporated into radio systems or problems caused by incompatibility between radio components, parts, and repairs not completed by an authorized service center, etc. We warrant no products for a specific use or application and accept no liability thereof. PRICE AND/OR DESCRIPTION CHANGES All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site and all other EAM publications are subject to change. EAM maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors or price changes or errors due to price increases for a variance in the current exchange rate. Please contact us within 5 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies. |
