Exactly 2:1 reduction. This has a very strong structure. We think this might be OK for motors that put out up to 500 watts such as the large Mega’s and Ultra’s. Short — length from front of motor to front of gearbox is only 1-1/16 inch, easy to mount on firewalls.

Notice the round flat plate in the front — use 2 or 4, 3mm screws HLH8730 for mounting. "Innerdriven" means that motor and prop turn in same direction for maximum motor efficiency. Prop shaft is less than 1/4 inch offset from motor’s shaft. Double ballbearings, 5mm output shaft. About 2.5 oz.

The Olympus Belt Drive gets the most out of SPEED 600 motors with its ball bearings and the fact that you don’t have to reverse the motor and lose efficiency.

It’s a 2.3:1 reduction. Has VERY easy mounting ears. Offset from motor shaft to prop shaft is only 1". It has a 6mm threaded prop shaft for regular airplane props. Use HLAN2412 6 mm Prop Shaft adapter to adapt AeroNaut folding props to it. With GR3323 SPEED 600 ECO, 7.2 V, 10 cell pack, 10x6 prop, we got 24 oz. of thrust with only a 14 Amp current draw! That’s a lot of low current power that will pull most .15 size airplanes.

Here are incredible power, flying time, and thrust from inexpensive motor and gearbox combinations. Exactly the diameter of a SPEED 500 or 600 motor, and the motors are included! These planetary geardrives come with the motor attached and have 1/8" diameter shaft. Use Propeller GPE12010 on these. The gearboxes have ballbearings, needle bearings, and steel gears.

The output shafts are directly in the center of the gearboxes. The weight of the motor and gearbox combinations are only 7 oz. for the SPEED 500 and 8 oz. for the SPEED 600! The motors appear to be: GR1789 in GR1716, and GR3301 in GR1717. Graupner does not show the motor stock number on these combination units.The flying time figures are for 1400 mAh capacity nicads.

Gearbox and pinion are all metal and can be removed and used on any SPEED 500 or 600 motor.

The motor has performance similar to GR1793 so we used Ecalc to give the following suggested use of this gearbox: With 10 cells, 1700mah, 14x8 prop, you would have 26 oz. thrust for the full power running time of 7.5 minutes! The prop shaft is 6mm, so use AeroNaut 6.0mm Prop Shaft Adapter HLAN2412 and Aeronaut Middlepart and prop blades. 5/16" offset of prop shaft from motor shaft.

Twin ball bearing glass-filled nylon gearbox mounts on all SPEED 500 and SPEED 600 motors. Brass pinion gear press fits onto 1/8" motor shaft. Prop Shaft is 1/4"-28. Overall length is 2-5/8". Use an 11-7 to 12-8 airplane prop. Motor not included.

Has 5mm hardened steel output shaft. Double ballbearings. Check the output figures below: they’re shockingly good for these relatively inexpensive motor and gearbox combinations.

Note: this gearbox will not work with the ballbearing versions of SPEED 700 Turbo electric motors because they will not fit into the gearbox.
