" Of all the dozens of planes I saw at the recent DEAF fly-in, by far the most
interesting was David Robert's U2, the Dragon Lady. I was immediately
attracted to it. Black, with red trim, and with a long, sailplane-like wing,
the Dragon Lady has a stealthy, sinister look, a look that I very much
admire. I watched as David launched and flew the Dragon Lady. The sound of
its twin electric motors, its fast climb to altitude, the majesty of its dark
silhouette against the sky, its stable and long flight duration; these
factors, to me, make the Dragon Lady simply irresistible. I have placed my
order and hope to receive one of the very first kits to be shipped. "

U-2 specs: Wingspan 72", Length 54", Wing area 600" Power 2 x Jamara Pro 480 motors (between a speed 400 and a 480 ) on 6x3 folding props, Pico Control 400 Duo speed control, I was using 7x1700 and 7x2000 battery packs. The Dragonlady U-2 is molded foam covered in .056 oz. fiberglass, the rest is classified at this point, yes there are some tricks under the skin that I can't give away just yet. The plane was built heavy on purpose, since it was a prototype for flight testing I wanted it to have a high ratio of survivability and as you saw performance was not hindered in the least. I am working on a pre-release of 30 kits at $99.95 motors and props included to get some construction/performance feedback prior to the full production of the kit. E-Mail us to get on the list!! Also we may offer this kit as an ARC with the servos and control rods pre-mounted, motors wired and spars in place,  as well as surfaces pre hinged control surfaces if there is enough interest.

OK IT HAS BEEN A LONG WAIT BUT WE WILL RELEASE NO KIT BEFORE IT'S TIME !!!!! As you see we finally have progress, the pre-fab vacuformed parts will make up the nose and tail cone of the nacelles. the nose cone incorporates the motor mount as well. The interior parts and servo tray is laser cut. If all goes well kits should be ready by late August or September. Stay tuned...................
